Following the closure of schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the speed with which Ballard School has set up a fully functioning remote school, complete with live lessons and virtual class discussions, has received praise from parents.
On Monday 6th April Highfield and Brookham Schools launched a new movement #TogetherWeCare. Each week all of their pupils are being challenged to take part in an activity which can be completed from home. These ‘acts of kindness’ activities are designed to help the children show their love and support to their families and the local community.

Rallying to the call across the nation to pipe in support of the NHS and key workers on Thursday night, Gordon’s School Pipers picked up their bagpipes and played from their homes.
Design and Technology staff at Millfield School in Street, Somerset, have used the school’s laser cutters to create personal protective equipment for NHS and local council workers tackling the Coronavirus on the front line.
